Saudi Arabia's Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz met with Prime Minister Imran Khan in which bilateral relations, including regional and international situation, were discussed. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, Prime Minister Imran Khan welcomed the Saudi Deputy Defense Minister and said that close, grassroots and historical links are of special importance to Pakistan-Saudi relations. Prime Minister Imran Khan mentioned Saudi Arabia's rich visit to Saudi Arabia during the historic visit of Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Pakistan in 2019 and especially to tackle the economic challenges. Prime Minister Imran Khan praised Saudi relations for enhanced economic relations and investment in diverse sectors between the two countries. Prime Minister Imran Khan also highlighted the deteriorating human rights situation in India-occupied Kashmir and the increasing oppression of Muslims. The Prime Minister also apprised the ground facts regarding the dangers posed by the Indian leadership in harsh rhetoric and aggressive measures. He also stressed the importance of the global community including the Muslim world to prevent the ongoing atrocities and promote peaceful resolution of Kashmir, and discussed the role of Saudi Arabia as a key member of the OIC. Prime Minister Imran Khan also highlighted the Amendment Act and National Register of Citizenship on India's discrimination and emphasized that the Indian government is engaged in systematic efforts to remove discrimination and discrimination against minorities, especially Muslims, in New Delhi. Target killing of Muslims, disrespect for synagogues is a concern not only for the Muslim world but also for the global community. The Prime Minister emphasized that by prejudice to the RSS, the BJP government is discriminating against Kashmiris as well as oppressing minorities in India while advancing Hindutva ideology, the international community has played its part in preventing this. Highlighting the importance of strategic relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, the Deputy Defense Minister of Saudi Arabia said that he also conveyed the Saudi leadership's determination to further strengthen brotherly relations and multilateral cooperation between the two countries. He reaffirmed that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan would always stand together as long-lasting partners.
